We would like to inform applicants registering for membership in the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Employment Platform for U.S. Military Veterans stationed in Korea (hereinafter referred to as the “Recruitment Platform”) of the purposes of personal data collection and use, the categories of personal data collected, and the retention and utilization period of such data. Please review the following and provide your consent.

1. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Data
The Recruitment Platform processes personal data solely for the purposes outlined below. Collected personal data will not be used for purposes other than those specified. If the purposes change, the Platform will take all actions required under Article 15 of the Personal Information Protection Act, including obtaining separate consent.

2. Categories of Personal Data Collected
① For membership registration, customer inquiries, and service usage, the Platform collects the following information:
- Individual Member (Mandatory): Full Name, Username (ID), Password, Email Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Current or Last Rank/Rate/Grade, Service Category while stationed in Korea, Branch while stationed in Korea, Years of Service in Korea, Station Location in Korea, Assigned Unit and Position while stationed in Korea
- Individual Member (Optional): Phone number, Address, Education background, Area of expertise, Work experience, Certifications, Cover Letter, Profile photo, verification or certificate of  service in Korea, Resume 
- Corporate Member (Mandatory): Contact Person’s Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Username (ID), Password
- Corporate Member (Optional): Recruiter’s Name, Phone Number, Email Address

② During use of service or business operations, the following information may be automatically generated and collected:
IP Address, Date and Time of Access, Service Usage Logs, Records of Unauthorized or Abnormal Use

3. Data Retention and Usage Period
The Recruitment Platform retains and uses personal data only for the duration of membership and service usage. Upon membership withdrawal, withdrawal of consent to collect/use personal data, or fulfillment of the stated purpose of use, the data will be promptly deleted.
- Records related to misuse or fraudulent activities are retained for 5 years under internal policy.
- Usernames (IDs) are permanently retained for duplicate registration verification and account integrity purposes.

4. Right to Refuse and Possible Consequences
Members may refuse to provide consent regarding the collection and use of personal data as stated above.
However, refusal to consent to the collection and use of mandatory personal data will prevent registration for online membership.
